Stock Exchange Technology Chief Moves to New E-Commerce Market Maker

Eisenlohr leaves Pacific Exchange to join TestMart.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - August 4, 1999 -
David Eisenlohr has been appointed Vice President of Engineering for TestMartTM, the leading information and commerce marketplace for the test and measurement industry that was launched earlier this year. Eisenlohr is a 20-year veteran of trading floor technology, most recently as Vice President, Data Center Operations for the Pacific Stock Exchange. He will assume technical leadership for the company's Internet e-commerce and information exchange systems.

TestMart President Peter Ostrow reported, "We are thrilled to have someone of David's caliber and experience join our e-commerce team. As a successful leader in deploying technology for the most demanding 24x7 buyer-seller operations in the business world, he is a significant addition to the core competency of our organization. With David on board, we are delivering on our commitment to provide the highest caliber, most reliable and secure electronic marketplaces that technology will allow."

Eisenlohr began his IT career in 1979 with Securities Industry Automation Corporation, where he installed and managed data communications network control centers and over 4000 terminals on the floors of the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange and New York Futures Exchange. During his tenure, he was a key figure in a major facilities project to modernize the New York Stock Exchange's trading floor. In 1983, he moved to the Pacific Stock Exchange as Vice President, Telecommunications and subsequently became Vice President, Data Center Operations. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, he introduced significant technology changes into this critical 24x7 business environment. He directed the relocation of two trading floors and the roll-out of new trading systems. He also designed innovative networking and wireless systems to meet the needs of brokers, member firms and staff associated with three trading floors in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

"This is an exciting, cutting edge opportunity for me," said Eisenlohr. "The test and measurement industry is undergoing landmark change and struggling to connect with customer needs. TestMart is a unique resource, a third-party online marketplace that connects the entire community with reliable, unbiased information and safe, secure commerce for new and used test equipment. It reminds me of the early days of technology on the trading floor - quantum leaps in access to information for everyone and a whole new online paradigm for the connection of buyers and sellers."

Eisenlohr is a native of Ohio and holds a B.S. degree in Computer Systems Engineering, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He and his family reside in Walnut Creek, Calif.

TestMart is the most comprehensive test equipment reference site and marketplace on the Internet.
